Holographic Sands were an indie rock band formed in 2012, in St. Paul, Minnesota, by lead guitarist and vocalist Jared Carrigan and drummer Chase Wackerfuss. The band was well known in the Central Minnesota indie rock scene.

Career
The band started when vocalist Jared Carrigan and drummer Chase Wackerfuss met in high school. In March 2012 Carrigan and Wackerfuss officially formed the band. In December of the same year Carrigan contacted Kyle Schaffer to play in the band after meeting him at a party. In late 2012 the band recorded their first album "House Ghost" a 5 track EP that was released in December 2012. In 2013 the band recruited rhythm guitarist Tyler Losinski and started recording their second EP "Water Bodies" which was released in October the same year. In December 2013 bassist Kyle Schaffer left the band and was replaced by Caleb Draves.
