Holly Hill Woodland Park consists of 35 hectares of land stretching down to the River Hamble.
The park can be divided into two distinct areas: Cawtes Copse with its mix of native woodland species, and the more formally planted Winnards Copse with its lakes and ornamental exotic species, which includes some survivors of the specimen trees planted in the 1870s. The extensive scheme of waterfalls and lakes was laid out between 1881 and 1893, with a series of islands. Pulhamite, an artificial stone was used to create terraced levels and other features, including a fern grotto.
The park was purchased by Fareham Borough Council in 1954. It is officially designated as a Local Nature Reserve (LNR).
