German uploaded his first YouTube video in 2011, after he was encouraged by a friend.
As of December 1, 2014, his YouTube channel has over twenty three million subscribers, ranking him as the second most subscribed channel on YouTube.
On August 2014 and 2015, he won the "Icon of the Year" prize from MTV Millennial Awards 2014. He made an appearance in YouTube Rewind 2014.
