People

The ancestors of writer Iris Murdoch farmed at Hillhall for seven generations, they had about 50 acres (200,000 m2) leased from the Marquis of Downshire and a further 10 acres (40,000 m2) from the Hertford estate. Today the family burial plot can still be found in Derriaghy Parish Churchyard.
