Plot

A young ranch girl is sent to Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio (at that time regarded as the most beautiful high school in the United States, featured in and on the cover of an issue of Life magazine in 1938). In the beginning she has personality problems with some of the other girls at the school and is not inducted into the Lassos, a group of girls who perform with their lariats at football games in ersatz cowgirl outfits. Being in the Lassos is regarded as highly desirable, so the girl is deeply hurt by her rejection. She becomes involved with a boy, and they in turn become involved in solving and/or preventing a crime. At the end the Lassos reconsider, and she becomes a member of the group. The young ranch girl really loves Her Father, and Her Father really loves Her. So that is why she has been mostly homeschooled by Her Father who even taught her atomic theory. When she gets to the airport near the high school, She immediately meets a red haired freckled faced boy that falls for her right away. But she is not keen on him, at first. He shows his love for her by bumping into furnishings and her forehead several times. When the student military cadets jump into their cars to go rescue the freckled-face boy from the chop-shop gangsters, their various cars are all in various kinds of condition. One of them even splits in half. This movie is a "G" rated comedy.
