Diet

It is a predator of insects including the Macleay's Spectre, Grasshoppers, crickets, spiders, other mantids, and even vertebrates like geckos, snakes, and mice.
Description
This is the largest species of Australian Mantodea. Size is 70~110mm in total length.(eyes to wing). It is one of the largest species in the genus Hierodula. The specific epithet "majuscula" means large in Latin.
