Hierodoris electrica is a moth of the Oecophoridae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1889. It is found in New Zealand, where it has been reported from the northern and southern parts of the South Island.

The wingspan is 15–16.5 mm. The ground-colour of the forewings is dark brown, largely overlain by narrow yellow scales. The hindwings are brown, but darker exteriorly.

The larvae possibly feed on Ozothamnus species. However, reared specimens have also emerged from a spinning on Olearia nummulariifolia.
