Hersha Hospitality Trust is an American real estate investment trust, publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
History
Hersha was founded in 1984 by Hasu P. Shah. Shah was an immigrant engineer who moved to Pennsylvania for a government job. He began the company with the purchase of a single hotel in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, naming the company after his wife.
