Herbert Leney (8 September 1850 – 18 November 1915) was an English cricketer. Leney was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm roundarm fast. He was born at Wateringbury, Kent.

Leney made his first-class debut for Kent against WG Grace's XI in 1873 at the Bat and Ball Ground, Gravesend. He made three further first-class appearances for the county, the last of which came against Lancashire in 1877. In his four first-class matches, he scored a total of 58 runs at an average of 11.60, with a high score of 33.

He died at Smith's Hall, West Farleigh, Kent, on 18 November 1915. His nephew, Frederick Leney, also played first-class cricket.
