Henry Barakat (Arabic: هنري بركات, 11 June 1914, Cairo – 27 May 1997, Cairo) was one of the most famous Egyptian film directors in his era. He was born in Shobra, Cairo, to a religious Egyptian Coptic family, his father worked as a priest in St. Antonio Church in Shobra directed some of the most famous films in the Egyptian Cinema.
