Helicia attenuata is a plant in the family Proteaceae. It grows as a shrub or small tree up to 15 metres (50 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 30 centimetres (12 in). The bark is dark brown. Fruit is brown, ellipsoid, up to 5 centimetres (2 in) long. The specific epithet attenuata is from the Latin meaning "drawn out", referring to the leaf base. Habitat is forests from sea-level to 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) altitude. H. attenuata is found in Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.
