Heckton is an unincorporated community in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States, at latitude 40.352 and longitude -76.916. It is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area.

It was named for Dr. Lewis Heck - Born 1810 - Died 1890 - Reared in Shippensburg, Dr. Heck settled here in 1832. He practiced medicine and served as a Representative in the Pennsylvania General Assembly during the American Civil War. He also operated a large steam sawmill nearby from 1843 until 1890.
