The Heavy Blinkers are a Canadian orchestrated-pop music group, formed in 1998 in Halifax. They cite Brian Wilson, Serge Gainsbourg, Ennio Morricone, Paul McCartney and Harry Nilsson as influences. Since 1998, the Heavy Blinkers have released five albums and an EP. Their songs are published through Nettwerk Publishing. In January 2008, two founding members, Andrew Watt and Ruth Minnikin, left the band, leaving main songwriter Jason MacIsaac as their only remaining original member.
