The flaming lips hear it is

Hear It Is is The Flaming Lips' first full-length album. It was released on Restless Records in 1986. This album marks the debut of Wayne Coyne on vocals, after the departure of his brother Mark.

Contents

It is included on the first disc of the compilation Finally the Punk Rockers Are Taking Acid as tracks 6-15. This version omits the track "Summertime Blues".

An early CD pressing on the "Pink Dust" label includes the bonus track "Summertime Blues" as well as the entire The Flaming Lips EP.

In an early interview, the band claimed that the back cover was an image of drummer Richard English's eye when he was on acid.
