harvest is an Australian literary magazine based in Melbourne that publishes fresh new writing from emerging and established authors.
Contents
Founded in 2007, harvest sprung from the desire to produce a tactile, engaging publication for intelligent readers. The founders were Davina Bell, Julia Carlomagno and Rachel Hawlett. The first issue appeared in June 2008. Art and design feature heavily in each issue. The journal is also eco-virtuous, printed on recycled paper using vegetable inks by local company Arena Printing.

harvest has become known for publishing talented new Australian writers, including Jessica Au, Emily Bitto, Iain Britton, Simon Cox, Patrick Cullen, Nathan Curnow, Maxine Clarke, Anthony Lawrence, Joel Magarey, Meg Mundell, Ruby Murray, Ryan O'Neill, Nick Powell, Josephine Rowe, Michael Sala, Estelle Tang, Tara June Winch and Evie Wyld. Featured Australian artists include Michelle Macintosh, Allison Colpoys, Luci Everett and the Greedy Hen team. Featured international artists include Martin O'Neill and Wallzo.
