Harrington's Breweries is a microbrewery based in Christchurch, New Zealand. It brews over 25 different styles of specialty beer.

History

Harringtons's Breweries was founded by John and Val Harrington in 1991. The first beer was brewed on 15 July 1991 at the Old Wards Brewery site on Kilmore Street, Christchurch. Demand soon exceeded supply and in 1993 they moved to their much larger and current location in Ferry Road Christchurch. Today Harrington's brew over 25 styles of beer, including seasonal beers, ciders and an alcoholic lemonade. The brewery spans 3 generations of the Harrington family and remains 100% owned by them. In July 2011 the brewery celebrated its 20th aniverssary.

Brands

Harrington's Breweries is a family owned brewery from New Zealand. The Harringtons brand already well known in Christchurch received a boost in demand with the addition of a bottling plant to supply the rest of New Zealand.

Harringtons are brewers of Belgium Tempest, Big John special reserve, Classy Red, Clydesdale Stout, East Indies, Harry's LighT, Kiwi Draught, Ngahere Gold, Pig & Whistle, Rogue Hop, Saddler, Sobering Thought, Wobblyboot.
