Harika Avci (born Nermin Ocak on February 2, 1960) is a Turkish classical and arabesque singer and actress. She started her career singing western music at age 14 in Izmir, Turkey.

Career
While performing in a nightclub, she found a manager and moved to Istanbul in 1974. She was named Harika Avci (Wonderful Hunter) by one of Turkey's famous classical singers Gonul Yazar. Eventually, she moved to classical music as a lead singer in the early 1980s. Her film debut was in 1978 in Iyi Aile Cocugu (Best Family Kid), with Kemal Sunal.
Her first album Alisirim was released on the same day as the film that was also named Alisirim in 1987. The album sold over 3.5 million copies and was her most successful album. The music and movie alongside until 2000.
She is described as a 1980s and 1990s pop culture and sex icon; also named "Estetik Harikasi" (aesthetic wonder) by media. She is most known for her early arabesque songs "Alisirim" (I'll get used to it), "Gitme" (Don't go), "Konussana Birtanem" (Talk to me my darling), "Olmaz Olsun", and her mid-1990s hit "Surunuyorum".
