Hard Rock Hotel Penang was open in September 2009. Being the first Hard Rock Hotel in Malaysia, Hard Rock Hotel Penang is a resort situated along the beaches of Batu Ferringhi, Penang.

Hard Rock Hotel Penang is also a location for live performances. Gigs in the Hotel consisted of both local and international artistes and bands. Among those who had played at Hard Rock Hotel Penang are The Wailers, Mizz Nina, Ella, Andrew Netto, Zainal Abidin, Sheila Majid and Amy Search.
