Hanning Elektro-Werke GmbH und Co. KG, (limited partnership with a limited liability company as general partner) a German family-owned company, was founded in 1947 by Robert Hanning. Currently the company employs approximately 1,000 employees, only counting the various European locations and 1,500 worldwide. The head office is situated in Oerlinghausen, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Further production sites are located in Eggesin (Germany), in Vilnius (Lithuania), Shenzhen (China) und Vadodara (India).

Company history
The company was established in 1947 by Robert Hanning under the name ’Elektrobau Hanning GmbH’ in Lipperreihe near Bielefeld (Germany). In 1977 the company name was changed to ’HANNING ELEKTRO-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG’. Due to HANNINGs' stable and economic growth, the factory as well as the storage in Oerlinghausen was expanded in 1980. After the German reunification the company then established itself in 1992 in Eggesin, as the largest employer of the city. Furthermore, the company successfully continued his international expansion. Thus HANNING (Hong Kong) Ltd. in Shenzhen (China) was founded in 1996 and in 2004 the production site in Vilnius (Lithuania) followed under the name UAB HANNING VILNIUS. With HANNING MOTORS INDIA Pvt. Ltd Hanning has in 2008 established his latest location in Vadodara (India).
Business Division Industrial Application
The core business of this business division are customized industrial drives up to 7.5 kW in synchronous or asynchronous technology, appertaining electronics und software as well as frequency inverters. Be added of drive-frequency-combinations up to 3.0 kW and rotating field magnets.
Business Division Appliance Application
Drain and circulation pumps for industrial washing machines and dishwashers, synchronous drain pumps for the household appliance industry as well as motors and blowers for heating, drying and air-conditioning is the core business in this division. All products are customized for their special needs.
Business Division Linear Actuators
Spindle drives as well as linear actuators for use in dental chairs, therapy beds, operating tables and X-ray equipment are being developed and manufactured in this division.
