Hamren (IPA: ˈhæmrən) is a town and headquarter of West Karbi Anglong district in the Indian state of Assam. The town is situated on a hill.

Demographics
As of 2011 India census, Hamren had a population of 8694. Males constitute 4406 (50.5%) of the population and females 4288 (49.5%). Hamren has an average literacy rate of 86%, higher than the national average of 74%: male literacy is 90%, and female literacy is 82%.

The town is surrounded by green hills. Breeze blow the town throughout the year. Kapili river passes through it..
