After 6 years spending his career with Pahang FA, Hairuddin return to Terengganu but not with Terengganu FA. He sign with a club team located in Kuala Terengganu, PBDKT T-Team FC. During the Malaysia Cup 2009, he join Negeri Sembilan for a loan as PBDKT T-Team FC unable to participate in Malaysia Cup Tournament. Negeri Sembilan end up being the winner for that edition of the Malaysia Cup.

For the season of 2010, he signed with Kelantan. He was part of the Kelantan's 2010 Malaysia Cup winning team. He scored Kelantan's first goal on the second half of the 2010 Malaysia Cup final and was awarded Man of the Match.

He played for Negeri Sembilan for the 2011 Malaysian Super League season. His first full season with Negeri was a mixed one, as he only scored 4 goals in the league. However, he found his goalscoring form in the 2011 Malaysia Cup, scoring 8 goals to claim the tournament's golden boot, including the winning goal in the final against his former team Terengganu, as Negeri Sembilan wins the Malaysia Cup. This was Hairuddin's third straight Malaysia Cup winner's medal.

ATM FA

He joins ATM FA for the 2012 Malaysia Premier League season, and has been made captain of the team.

International career

Hairuddin earned the distinction of scoring the Malaysia's solitary goal in the 4–1 defeat to Chelsea in FA Premier League Asia Cup 2003, an invitational tournament in 2003. Then he out-jumped England Under-21 international John Terry, now captain of England, to nod the ball home off a swerving corner kick from his Terengganu teammate, Rosdi Talib, four minutes after Frank Lampard had opened the scoring in the 36th minute. It was as a result of a well-worked set-piece the boys managed to translate into the game, giving the nation the first goal against an English opponent since Matlan Marjan's double against England at Merdeka Stadium in 1991.
