History
HMR was established in 2003 with the approval of AICTE, Government of NCT, Delhi and the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.It was opened by the Hira Lal, Mohan Devi,Rita Gupta Memorial Trust.The trust has made all efforts to create state of the art educational facilities such as well designed & ventilated class rooms, laboratories, computer labs and library. The infra structural facilities not only provide for existing strength of students in five engineering disciplines but also for future expansions and addition of courses in the field of Technology and Management.
Campus
The campus of the institute is spread over an area of 5 acres offering a safe and secure environment. The campus has a main Administrative Block,Library,Laboratories with latest equipments, workshops, auditorium, conference rooms and a modern canteen.
Academics
The institute is conducting PG programmes in MBA & MCA and B.Tech programmes with strong emphasis on scientific and technological education and research. Recently the institute has tied up with many foreign universities such as Technical University of Sofia and Aalborg University etc. to offer summer internship in various fields of technology. The institute also has started the value addition program, under which student get to learn about new technology in each new semester and make a project using the respective technology, to show their innovative mind and creativity in the field of technology.

Admissions
Admission to all courses is through the Common Entrance Examination (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. although some of the seats are reserved through management quota, wherein the management takes decisions on the basis on criteria set up by GGSIPU. along with that there are some seats through lateral entries for diploma holders, in the 2nd year.
