Gustavo Andres Hincapie MD, PHD, MBChB (born in the city of Bogota, Colombia on October 5, 1970) he studied his degree in the Medical School Juan N. Corpas and he obtained his degree as Medical Doctor in 1994. Later on he traveled to the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he completed his training in the Hospital of Ipname as General Surgery and then his training as Plastic and Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery, he was accredited in the International Program of Medical Excellence in Plastic Surgery granted by the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Hincapie did his training in the Program of Dr. Ivo Pitanguy, completed his accreditation in video-endoscopic applied to plastic surgery, issued by Dr. Enzo Rivera in the Plastic Clinic of Dr. Ivo Pitanguy, performed consecutively training in Post-Bariatric Surgery with Dr. Jose Humberto Cardozo.

Early life
Gustavo Andres Hincapie is the youngest son of a large Antioquia´s Family. Son of a famous Colombian Journalist and Lawyer who led for many years the radio news and political chronicles of several national newspapers, grandson and brother of a prestigious Doctors, since he was young he showed interest in the humanities and community service.
Carrera
Began studying medicine at the Medical School Juan N. Corpas in Bogota, Colombia, made his social service in the city of Arbelaez, Cundinamarca, whose hospital is widely recognized as having a Surgical vocation, he moved to the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he obtained his first title of Specialist in General Surgery and later made his medical and surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery.
Gustavo Andres has been a guest speaker at international congresses of the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery, has been a member of the executive branch of the Colombian society plastic surgery.
Gustavo Andres has a medical hypnosis training awarded by the Brazilian Society of Medical Hypnosis, with whom has advancing a study of post-operative analgesia hypnosis.
He has been invited several times to demonstrative surgeries technology in liposuction in different countries.
In 2006 he received the award of excellence in care of foreign patients by the Global Health Organization in Cusco, Peru.
He is currently the Medical Adviser at the TV Show "Mas que ver en casa” by the company Max Media that shows on different cable operators in over 40 countries.
He has been invited many times as Medical Adviser to give their opinions and share their expertise in medical events in the news channels in Colombia RCN, Caracol, City TV, and others.
