Guilt Show is the fourth studio album by American rock band The Get Up Kids. It was released on Vagrant Records on March 3, 2004.

Recording
The album was the first album to be recorded in Black Lodge Studios, the recording studio in Eudora, Kansas renovated and owned by The Get Up Kids and producer Ed Rose. The album was far less collaborative than their previous works, many songs being written and demoed by lead singer Matt Pryor, then fleshed out by the rest of the band. During much of the initial pre-production, guitarist Jim Suptic was on his honeymoon, and pianist James Dewees was far less involved in the initial writing process. However, this gave brothers Rob and Ryan Pope a more substantial role in writing the album than they had previously had. In an interview with AP Magazine, Pryor stated that "[Rob's Divorce] was pretty heavy shit to have gone through. So yeah, it made for good lyrical fodder." It has been confirmed that the song "Never Be Alone" was written by Pope about his divorce.
Promotion
After the album's release, the band went on a one-month U.S. tour to support the album, as well as appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. In addition to the U.S. tour, the band also embarked on an extensive world tour to promote the album, including dates in England and Japan as well as a supporting spot on the 2004 leg of the Honda Civic Tour with Thrice and Dashboard Confessional. The album sold rather well, reaching #58 on the Billboard 200 chart, and #3 on the Billboard Independent Albums.
While the song "Sympathy" received some significant radio play, the only official single the band released in the United States was "The One You Want", for which they filmed their fourth music video. The video was recorded in Cincinnati, Ohio over the course of a weekend. They also released Wouldn't Believe It as a Japan-Only single.

iTunes Sessions EP
After the album's release, the band was asked to record a digital EP for the iTunes Music Store. The release included stripped-down versions of several tracks from Guilt Show, as well as the song "Action & Action" from the band's second album Something to Write Home About and "Better Half" from their debut album Four Minute Mile. The band recorded one version of the EP, but it was rejected because it was "too similar" to the original songs. The band re-recorded the EP, and although the label still felt that it was a bit too similar to the originals, they released it anyway.
