Ladislav Kovács, better known by his in-game name "GuardiaN", is a Slovak professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player and former Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike 1.6 player. GuardiaN has played at a high level in all three Counter Strike games. He is known for being one of the best players with the AWP and one of the best players overall. He currently plays for team Natus Vincere (Na'Vi) as the team's primary AWPer.

Early career
Before CS:GO, Kovács played CS 1.6 and CS:Source professionally. Due to limited CS 1.6 events near his hometown, Kovács switched to CS:Source. He played for Reason Gaming for two years, and subsequently was offered a spot from a number of top European teams. However, GuardiaN switched back to CS 1.6 and played for a number of teams, including: IQFIGHTERS, DEFEATERS, Corecell, and SGC. GuardiaN changed to CS:GO in mid 2012 and played for eternal Playerz, myDGB, TCM-Gaming, 3DMAX and eventually joined team Virtus.pro for a brief time in 2013.
Na'Vi
In December 2013, he joined Na'Vi, who he currently plays for.
Guardian suffered a wrist injury after MLG Columbus 2016 and had to miss DreamHack Malmö Masters.
In October 2016, his play helped win Na'Vi the ESL One New York 2016 Grand Finals, and their performance placed the team in the top 5 teams worldwide.
