Description

The 4th constituency of Guadeloupe was established by law n°86-1197 of 24 November 1986

It includes the following Cantons:Basse-Terre 1st, Basse-Terre II, Bouillante, Gourbeyre, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Claude, Saint-Martin, Les Saintes, Trois-Rivières, Vieux-Habitants.

Referring to 1999 census, realized by INSEE, the population is estimated at 100,243 inhabitants
