Greg Hyde (born 5 October 1989) is an Australian ice hockey player currently playing for the Perth Thunder in the Australian Ice Hockey League.

Playing career
Hyde first played for the Nipissing Alouettes of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League in 2008. During the season Hyde recorded 37 points in his 40 regular season games as well as four points in his six playoff games. The following season Hyde was traded to the Elliot Lake Bobcats of the same league. After the end of the season with the Bobcats Hyde returned to Australia and joined the Cockburn Blackhawks of the Western Australian Super League (WASL) for the 2010 season. During the season Hyde also played for the Cockburn Skyhawks in the lower division, Western Australian Senior A Contact. The following season Hyde left the Blackhawks and joined the Northern Vikings for the start of the 2011 WASL season. He played in 11 games recording five goals and three assists for the season. In 2012 Hyde signed with the Perth Thunder of the Australian Ice Hockey League.
Hyde was first called up to represent Australia in 2012, where he joined the national senior team to compete in the 2012 IIHF World Championship Division I Group B tournament being held in Krynica, Poland. Australia finished last and were relegated to Division II Group A for the following year while Hyde recorded only a single assist during the tournament.
Personal life
Hyde was born on 5 October 1989 in Paisley, Scotland. He started playing ice hockey at the age of five. Hyde currently works as an offshore operator.
