Founder

Alex S. Xu, Chairman and CEO, oversees a mature global business operation within both China and the United States. Mr. Xu serves as Chairman & CEO of both GreenTree Hospitality Group, Inc. (USA) as well as GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group, Inc. (China). In addition to his leadership roles with GreenTree, Mr. Xu also oversees the APH Family of Companies, a California-based real estate investment group, which includes (APH) American Pacific Homes, Inc., formed in 1997, Apex Pacific Asset Management, LLC, (APEX) formed in 2008. These main two entities focus on the execution and management of his business interests in the United States.

Prior to founding APH in 2000, Alex worked as an executive at Concordia Homes and eventually formed Concordia Homes of Southern California (CHSC) in 1998. He was responsible for overall corporate management including planning, engineering, design, construction, financing, accounting and human resources. While running CHSC, he developed over 1000 units of residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Before joining the Concordia operation, Alex served as the Chief Operating Officer of Tone Yee Investments and Development, where he was responsible for all investment and development activities. While at Tone Yee, Alex implemented strategies that tripled Tone Yee’s real estate holdings, reduced overhead expenses and resulted in a dramatic increase in operating income. Mr. Xu was able to achieve higher performance levels at Tone Yee Investments through a detailed analysis of the company portfolio, assessing core strengths and resources and implementing activities to analyze various real estate sectors’ characteristics and historical performance. Additional analysis included the measurement of sectors’ recent changes of earning power and their market price. Mr. Xu graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology and received post-graduate training and degrees from the University of Southern California (USC) in the fields of statistics, computer engineering and business administration.
