At the beginning of decade, Greece possessed the 12th position in UEFA ranking. Greece was represented by two clubs in Champions League and three clubs in Europa League. Until now, the clubs who played in UEFA competition during decade are Olympiakos F.C., Panathinaikos, PAOK (Champions League) and Olympiakos F.C., Panathinaikos, PAOK, AEK Athens, Larissa F.C., Aris Thessaloniki, Atromitos F.C., Asteras Tripoli and Skoda Xanthi (Europa League). The most successful season of Greek participation was the season 2009-10, when Greek clubs concentrated 7.900 points. In contrast the least successful season was the season 2012-13, when Greek clubs collected 4.400 points.

2009-10

In 2009-10 season, Greece was represented by Olympiacos (Champion) and Panathinaikos, in Champions League and AEK Athens (domestic cup’s finalist), PAOK and Larissa F.C. in Europa League. The Greek clubs won 7.900 points (UEFA coefficient). This performance was the best of decade, until now.

In 2011-12 season, Greece was represented by Olympiakos (Champion) and Panathinaikos, in Champions League and AEK Athens (domestic cup’s winner), PAOK and Olympiakos Volos, in Europa League. Olympiakos Volos took part for first time but was excluded because of a scandal in Greek championship. The Greek clubs won 7.600 points (UEFA coefficient), same as previous season.

In 2013-14 season Greece was represented by Olympiacos (Champion) and PAOK, in Champions League and Asteras Tripoli (domestic cup’s finalist), Atromitos F.C. and Skoda Xanthi in Europa League. Skoda Xanthi replaced PAS Giannina that was excluded because of financial problems.
