Greatest Hits is the first American compilation album by singer/songwriter/producer Richard Marx. Released in 1997, this hits package was Richard's final release under his 10 year long Capitol Records recording contract. This disc contains fourteen of Marx's single releases, plus "Touch of Heaven," a promotional single from the 1997 album Flesh & Bone, and a new track, "Angel's Lullaby."
Contents
This album was certified Platinum in the United Kingdom in 2013 for sales of 300,000 copies.
Although this disc had sold close to 700,000 copies in America by 2015, Capitol had never requested a sales audit. In the spring of 2016, the album was certified Gold by the RIAA - which represents U. S. sales of over 500,000 copies - becoming Richard's fifth American Gold album.
