The Greater Brisbane League 2009–10 season is part of the annual summer baseball competition of South East Queensland run by Baseball Queensland. It runs from September 2009 through to March, 2010.

Season structure
The season will have a new structure to the previous Greater Brisbane League format of six open divisions. Instead, it was announced the league structure will be split into a 'Major League' and 'Pacific League' in division one and two (Major A and Major B) with eight teams playing in Major League and seven in Pacific League.
The leagues will be determined by a round robin competition every Friday and Sunday from September 13, 2009 to November 1, 2009 with the top eight teams that meet Major League Criteria qualifying for the Major League and the remaining seven, play in the Pacific League. Toowoomba and Carina, minor league clubs in recent years, have been invited back into the top tier of Queensland baseball after many years being dominant in the Minor leagues (division 4-6).
Super League
Planned to be included in the season was a competition very similar to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, with two teams picked from the Northside and the Southside of the Brisbane River, presumably linked to their regions. This tournament was played from November 6 until November 8, 2009 and February 12 to February 14, 2010, but didn't go ahead due to the 2010 Claxton Shield home games.
Preliminary rounds
The preliminary rounds were used to determine the top eight seeded teams for Major League and bottom seven for Pacific League for the rest of the season. Teams played each other once including one bye round over the space of eight weeks with teams playing Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
Premiership rounds
Top four from each league progress into the playoffs where the Page playoff system is used.
Playoffs
Windsor Royals were awarded the Major Club Champion for the season, this included Major and Pacific A and B Grades.
B-Grade
Beenleigh Hawks defeated Windsor Royals 10-9 in the Major League B-Grade final. This is their third consecutive B-Grade premiership.
B-Grade
Toowoomba Rangers defeated Redlands Rays 23-11 in the Pacific League B-Grade final.
South Queensland Baseball League
The inaugural SQBL competition consisted of A, B and C grades, which was effectively 3rd, 4th and 5th division. Redcliffe Padres were awarded the best SQBL club overall for the season.
A-Grade
Redcliffe Padres defeated Pine Hills Lightning 11-4 in the South Queensland Baseball League A-Grade final.
B-Grade
Windsor Royals defeated Southern Stars 5-1 in the South Queensland Baseball League B-Grade final.
C-Grade
Windsor Royals defeated Mt Gravatt Eagles 12-9 in the South Queensland Baseball League C-Grade final
Masters
Mudgeeraba Redsox defeated Surfers Paradise 10-1 in the final of the inaugural Masters competition.
