Biography
He joined the network in 2012 as a play-by-play for college football (Navy Midshipmen games) and professional golf. He also does play-by-play for the Abilene Christian Wildcats in his alma mater. In addition to the CBS Sports Network, he has also done writing and play-by-play broadcasting on college football and basketball telecasts for ESPN, Fox Sports Net, Turner Sports, Golf Channel for golf, and CBS Radio Sports. He also was a member of PGA.com as a broadcaster. Boone received Abilene Christian's Gutenberg Award for distinguished journalism. Boone broadcasts The Masters, The PGA Championship, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and other tournaments for CBS. He is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and a graduate of Hunters Lane High School.
