History

In 1926, Grandview Medical Center was founded as Dayton Osteopathic Hospital.

In 1978, Grandview finished the addition of an ambulatory care center south of Dayton in Washington Township. The 60,000 square foot facility would later come to be known as Southview Medical Center.

In 1999, standing as the last independent Osteopathic hospital in the country, Grandview joined with Kettering Medical Center to form the Kettering Health Network (then Kettering Medical Center Network).

In 2013, Grandview completed the New Look West Wing Project. Announced in 2008, the $30 million project resulted in a four-story 70,000 square ft west wing for the hospital. Included in the project were a completely new entrance to the hospital with a redesigned lobby, larger cafeteria, a new gift shop, and a holistic spa.
