Grandfather Birds are an autumnal-indie band formed in Newcastle, England.

History

Formed in 2010, the band consist of Matt Saxon, Stu Walkinshaw, Jim Bowmaker and Mark Cooper. The band have described their music as Autumnal-Indie. They self released their debut single Higher Bridges in 2011 on Golden Lake Records. Several members joined Natelys Whores Kid Sister and in 2012 had a short hiatus to tour and release music through this project. In 2013, the band returned with their second single(s), Double A side Spithope/Things Beneath the Water.
