Grand Plain Township was organized in 1898, and named for the character of its landscape.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 44.9 square miles (116 km2), of which 44.9 square miles (116 km2) of it is land and 0.02% is water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 55 people, 22 households, and 19 families residing in the township. The population density was 1.2 people per square mile (0.5/km²). There were 29 housing units at an average density of 0.6/sq mi (0.2/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White.
