Group X (stylized as Gröûp X) are a comedic alternative/rap rock band that first formed in 1997. The group follow a satirical Arabic theme, and the true identities of the band remain unknown. They are perhaps best known for their fan-made music videos, which often consisted of the band in stick-figure form.

The band seemed to have mysteriously disappeared in the early 2000's for a few years, but suddenly resurfaced in 2006. This sudden reboot of activities would go on for another five years, with even a mentioning of a third full length album being worked on.

However, after the lead singer (known as Hashmeer Shashmeer) bailed out on the band for a show in January of 2011, the band once again entered a mysterious hiatus. In 2016, Group X reunited again and released “The Return of Peppermaint Joe” in October of 2018, which was their first album release in 18 years.
