Government Science College, Chatrapur is a public college located at Chatrapur, Ganjam, Orissa besides the N.H.5. It is affiliated to Berhampur University and Council of Higher Secondary Education Odisha.

History
The Government Science College, Chatrapur was established in 1969 as a Private College at the District Head Quarter of Ganjam District and was taken over by the Government on 10 July 1982. It gained the honour of a lead college of the state in 1993. This college has been accredited at the 'B' level by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) since 2006.
Description
It runs all the streams of Science, Commerce and Arts both undergraduate & Graduate programme under Berhampur University.It imparts education from 12 to 13 Pass and Hons. level in Arts, Science and Commerce stream and post graduate course in History and Oriya. For graduate programme stream wise seats have allocated i.e. in Science-64, Arts-96, Commerce-32. Apart from that P.G. Programmes in History and Oriya having 16 and 8 seats respectively.The College have a big liabrary. There is NCC, Scout facilities are also there in this college. Separate common rooms are also available for boys and girls.More than 900 students are studying there in undergraduate, Graduate & Post Graduate programme. This college is going to be celebrate silver jubilee in 2018.
