In the 2012-13 school year, total enrollment is at 1,811 students.

Goshen High School has a diverse student population with Hispanic being the largest minority population. In the 2010-11 school year the ethnicity breakdown was: White - 58.3% Hispanic - 37.2% Black - 2.4% Asian - 1.2% Multi-racial - .7%

There is a student to teacher ratio of 18:1.

In 2011, 45% of the graduating class passed an advanced program. (Advance Placement, International Baccalaureate or Dual Credit) (311 students graduated, 140 scored a 4 on at least 1 IB exam, a 3 on at least 1 AP exam or passed a dual enrollment college course)

Academics

In 2012, GHS was named a Top High School by U.S. News & World Report, earning a silver medal and ranking #12 in the state.

Goshen High School(GHS) carries one of the few genetics–ethics courses in Indiana. GHS is one of the few schools in Indiana offering the International Baccalaureate Program, this program consists of higher level classes. The IB classes offered by Goshen include: History, English, French, German, Spanish, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Visual Arts, Music Theory, Mathematics, Math Studies, Pre-Calculus/Calculus, and TOK. These classes are either offered in SL or HL. HL are typically a two-year course and SL courses are a one-year course.

GHS also offers dual credit enrollment courses from Indiana University and Vincennes University.

In 2011, 46% of the graduating class passed Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Dual Credit courses. The IN Department of Education only reports Advanced Placement(AP) scores not IB or Dual Credit The state average is 12.2%

In 2010-11, End of Course assessment results were as follows: English 10 64% (state average 64%) Algebra 1 - 85.9% (state average 72.4) Biology 1 - 47% (state average 46.9%)

SAT scores are around the state average.

Other programs offered include a school television station (GTV), Super Mileage Challenge, Marine Biology and Stratford Experience. Starting in 2011, all students entering high school (9th grade) will have a laptop.

In 2012, the marketing class redesigned the student bookstore.

Sports

Goshen High School competes in the 5A class (AAAAA). Their mascot is the "RedHawks".(The term "Redskin" was used as the mascot until December 31, 2015) Goshen is one of the eight teams in the NLC or Northern Lakes Conference, which also includes Plymouth, Concord, NorthWood, Elkhart Memorial, Warsaw, Wawasee, and Northridge. Goshen's biggest rival is Concord, located 7 miles away. Former Washington State Cougars head football coach Bill Doba got his coaching start as an assistant for GHS. He later served as head coach for Goshen after a stint at Angola High School. Rick Mirer also attended Goshen. As a senior quarterback at GHS, Mirer completed 259 of 420 passes for 3,973 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for nearly 500 yards and 22 TDs. He then went on to set multiple records at Notre Dame. During his 12-year NFL career, he played for the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and Detroit Lions. In 1978 and 1988 Goshen's football teams won state. In 1981 and 1999 they were state runners-up. Goshen's wrestling team has over 40 consecutive winning seasons and in 2010 posted a 21-1 season. The Goshen boys soccer team in 2007 placed in the top 4 in the state.

Music

Goshen High School's band, orchestra and choir compete at the state level. The marching band has had a total of 70 consecutive regional performances, including 14 state competitions. They have gotten numerous awards by their players, including best soloist, best percussionist, and best overall band. They participate in the ISSMA jazz competitions. The Goshen Winter percussion ensemble competes in the IPA and WGI circuits in the scholastic concert world class. They have won several state championships, most recently in 2009, and have competed in WGI finals every year they have attended. The Goshen Crimson Marching Band placed fifth at the ISSMA Class B State Marching Band Finals in 2011 and also had an undefeated season in 2007. In 2006 and 2007, the Symphonic Orchestra received Second Place at the ISSMA State Concert Orchestra Finals.

In 2008, the Goshen High School's Full Orchestra, String Orchestras, Advanced Choir, Advanced Women's Choir, Jazz Band, and Show Choir all competed in the Freedom Festival in New York City. They won every event that they entered. At the 2008 ISSMA State Concert Finals, the choir received Second Place, the band received Seventh Place, and the orchestra received Third Place.

In 2009, the school's band, orchestra, and choir all traveled to Atlanta, Georgia where they competed at the Heritage Music Festival. The Advanced Choir received first place, The Crimsonaires, first place, and The Women's Choir, second place.

In 2009, The Goshen High School Crimson Marching Band qualified in ISSMA State Finals in Class A, with their show entitled "Constellations" ranking 9th in the State.

In 2010 The Goshen High School show choir, the Crimsonaires, performed a special with the Purdue Glee Club.

In 2010, The Goshen High School Advanced Choir placed 1st in the ISSMA State Finals. They compete in the ISSMA State Finals almost every year, and this is the 3rd time they have won.

In 2010, The Goshen High School Crimson Marching Band placed 2nd in the ISSMA Class B State Finals, with their show entitled "Changing Seasons."

In 2011, the schools Wind Ensemble, Orchestras, Choirs, Crimsonaires, and Jazz Band traveled to New York City where they competed at the Heritage Music Festival. The Advanced Choir, Crimsonaires, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Orchestras all earned 1st place, and Goshen High School was also overall Grand Champions of the Festival.

In 2011, The Goshen High School Advanced Crimson Choir placed 2nd in the ISSMA State Finals. In 2012, the Advanced Crimson Choir placed 8th.

In 2011, The Goshen High School Crimson Marching Band placed 5th in the ISSMA Class B State Finals, with their show "The Red Line."

In 2012, The Goshen High School Crimson Marching Band placed 2nd in the ISSMA Class B State Finals, with their show "Musica D'Organo." Also, they placed 4th in their class at BOA Grand Nationals.

In 2013, The Goshen High School Crimson Marching Band place 9th in the ISSMA Class A State Finals, with their show "Jacob's Ladder." Also, they were class 3A Champions at the Munice BOA Regional.

In 2014, The Goshen High School Advanced Crimson Choir placed 2nd in the ISSMA State Finals.
