Ryan Aidan DeChanel was born on 21 April 1992, in New York City, New York, USA but was raised in Dallas, Texas, and in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up listening to a variety of music genres, including hip-hop, indie-rock, r&b, and he also listened to Beethoven. When he was seventeen he left and moved to Los Angeles, California.
