Episode 1 (October 5)
The coaches performed "Let It Be" at the start of the show.
The Battles
After the Blind Auditions, each coach had 12 artists for the Battle Rounds, which is aired from November 16 to November 30. Each episode featured battles consisting of pairings from within each team and each battle concluded with the respective coach eliminating one of the two artists; the 6 winners for each coach advanced to the Knockouts Round.
The Knockouts
The Knockouts were broadcast on Friday, December 7, 2012.
After the Battle Round, each coach had 6 contestants for the Knockouts. Episode featured knockout battles consisting of pairings from within each team. The contestants were not told who they were up against until the day of the Knockout. Each contestant sang a song of their own choice, back to back, and each knockout concluded with the respective coach eliminating one of the two contestants; the 3 winners for each coach advanced to the Quarterfinal.
