Go KL City Bus (style as GOKL CityBus) is a free bus service that serving the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The service owner is Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (SPAD) and the operator are Konsortium Transnasional and Rapid Bus.

KLCC, Bukit Bintang and Chinatown area are the first coverage area to enjoy the service since it was launched.

This free service has been in operation since August 31, 2012 and until now has been increased from two routes to four different circular routes that can be identified by the color of the routes such as Green, Purple, Red and Blue.

Open to residents and tourists, this services can be used at the Go KL City Bus official bus stop. Most bus stops are in close proximity to tourist attractions, major shopping centers and easy way to connect through rail transit services such as KTM Komuter, Rapid KL and ERL.

Bus Routes

  • Green Line: KLCC to Bukit Bintang
  • Purple Line: Pasar Seni to Bukit Bintang
  • Blue Line: Titiwangsa Bus Terminal to Bukit Bintang
  • Red Line: Titiwangsa Bus Terminal to KL Sentral
  • All buses make a circular one-way route clockwise based on Go KL route map. These routes are not parallel with the bus route with a fare such as Rapid KL buses to avoid competition on passengers load. Therefore, Go KL City Bus passengers actually who are traveling within the Central Business District (CBD), saving money and looking for a free ride.

    To distinguish this free bus service within CBD with other buses, all bus painted with light purple for easily recognizable. At present there are more than 40 buses including the NGV-powered engine and each bus can accommodate up to 60 people. To support for less carbon prints, all Go KL buses operated by Konsortium Transnasional on Red and Blue Line are using NGV which is eco-friendly. The frequency of buses during off-peak hour is every 5 to 15 minutes and minimum waiting minutes for peak hours. For people with disabilities, each bus has a wheelchair access ramp. Wi-Fi is also available for the convenience of passengers.
