Gmina Chęciny is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Kielce County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Chęciny, which lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) south-west of the regional capital Kielce.

The gmina covers an area of 127.57 square kilometres (49.3 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 14,715 (out of which the population of Chęciny amounts to 4,252, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 10,463).

The gmina contains part of the protected area called Chęciny-Kielce Landscape Park.
