Global Transport Investments (GTI) is an international transport holding founded in Odessa (Ukraine) in 1992. GTI consists of legally registered companies, affiliates, representative offices and trademarks. The company operates in 14 countries of the world such as Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria, Japan, India etc.

TheHolding appeared in 1992 in the form of Formag Forwarding company (an abbreviated form of “ForwardMarineAgency”).

The same year «Formag» made an agreement with the BULCON line, a container division of the national navigable company of Bulgaria Navibulgar. The second agency agreement by the “Formag” company was concluded with a Greek shipping line «Blue Container Line». The third principal has become a Chinese shipping company COSCO. TheFormag also became an agent of another Chinese state container line China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL).

  • 1995 – opened office in Kiev
  • 1996 – opened office in Moscow
  • 1999 – opened office in St. Petersburg
  • Further, in different years, the companies of the Holding become agents of global container lines:

  • United Arab Shipping Company (UASC)
  • Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL)
  • Wan Hai Lines (WHL)
  • Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK).
  • In January 2007 the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukrainegave a permission to the “Global Transport Investments”company (Odessa) to buy more than 50% of companies “Formag”, “Formag Agencies”, “Transferra Logistics Ltd.”, “Silk Route Shipping” and “Equinox” (all based in Odessa).
