Gliniec, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Gliniec [ˈɡliɲet͡s] (German Neu Glien) is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Stare Czarnowo, within Gryfino County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) west of Stare Czarnowo, 17 km (11 mi) east of Gryfino, and 17 km (11 mi) south-east of the regional capital Szczecin.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration by the Potsdam Agreement under territorial changes demanded by the Soviet Union. Most Germans fled or were expelled and replaced with Poles expelled from the Polish areas annexed by the Soviet Union.
