GirlsAskGuys is a digital community meant to close the gap between genders by bringing them together to help each other. Women and men discuss lifestyle issues such as dating, relationships, fashion, and health by sharing their experiences and opinions to help the opposite sex understand their own

Contents

There are three additional versions of GirlsAskGuys in other languages: KizlarSoruyor.com, a Turkish version launched in 2011; EllasSaben.com, a Spanish version launched in 2014, and then, most recently, in 2015 ElasSabem.com was created, a Portuguese version for Brazil. In September 2013, the company raised $1 Million in its first funding round to grow its presence in Latin America.

Overview

On GirlsAskGuys, users ask for feedback and opinions. The two main features are able to ask questions to get opinions from people from the opposite sex and share "myTakes", a way to share experiences without having to ask a question.

Upon subscription and through site participation members earn Xper Points, which later can be redeemed for gift certificates or other exclusive features. Xper Points also allow members to advance levels, called Xper Levels, which is an indicator of member activity and experience.

Top users are awarded Editor status where they can create articles, as myTakes, with rich media embedded to give prominent users an additional way to help the opposite sex.

In mass media

Since its inception, GirlsAskGuys has been featured on several outlets including Forbes, Huffington Post, Mashable, Business Journal. Killerstartups, CrunchBase, KSDK, and St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
