The Gin Oasis is a South Korean single-place, paraglider that was designed by Gin Seok Song and produced by Gin Gliders of Yongin. It is now out of production.
Design and development
The Oasis was designed as an intermediate glider. The models are each named for their relative size.
Oasis XS
Extra small-sized model for light pilots. Its 11.15 m (36.6 ft) span wing has a wing area of 23.2 m
2 (250 sq ft), 57 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.02:1. The pilot weight range is 60 to 80 kg (132 to 176 lb). The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.
Oasis S
Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 11.15 m (36.6 ft) span wing has a wing area of 24.8 m
2 (267 sq ft), 57 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.02:1. The pilot weight range is 73 to 90 kg (161 to 198 lb). The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.
Oasis M
Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.62 m (38.1 ft) span wing has a wing area of 26.8 m
2 (288 sq ft), 57 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.02:1. The pilot weight range is 85 to 105 kg (187 to 231 lb). The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.
Oasis L
Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 12.04 m (39.5 ft) span wing has a wing area of 29.1 m
2 (313 sq ft), 46 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.9:1. The pilot weight range is 100 to 120 kg (220 to 265 lb). The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.
