Giles county high school band
Giles County High School's nickname in athletics is the Bobcats; the school mascot is a bobcat. The school is considered a basketball school, as it has won 2 girls' state championships with numerous state tournament appearances. The boys' team has had its share of success, winning their first state championship in 2003 under the guidance of head coach Billy Holt.

State scores are slightly below average. English 1-4 is offered with Honors. Foreign languages include Spanish and French. A journalism and video journalism class completes the language Department.
