Gerard Donakowski (born February 20, 1960) is a retired distance runner.

College career

At the University of Michigan as a cross country runner he was an All-American in 1983. He was also an All-American in both indoor and outdoor track and field along with being a 3-time Big Ten Conference champion.

International career

Donakowski won silver at the 1986 Goodwill Games.

In 1987 Donakowski won the USA Track & Field 10,000 meters championship. This entitled him to compete in the 1987 World Championships in Athletics in the 10,000 meters. He was listed as competing, but did not start.

At the 1988 Olympic Trials Donakowski finished 8th.
