Gerald Moore (born 1924) is an independent scholar living in Worthing, England. He was educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He has taught at many universities, including Sussex, Hong Kong, Makerere, Ife, Port Harcourt, Jos and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His last teaching post was at Trieste. He is primarily a scholar of contemporary African anglophone and francophone poetry. With Ulli Beier, he edited the influential Penguin Book of Modern African Poetry, a comprehensive anthology.
