Georgia–India relations

Georgia–India relations are foreign relations between Georgia and India. The countries established diplomatic relations on 28 September 1992. Georgia has an embassy in New Delhi. India has no permanent resident diplomatic mission to Georgia, and is represented through its embassy in Yerevan, Armenia. Bilateral trade between Georgia and India was worth US$88.81 million in 2012.

Diplomatic relations

India recognised Georgia's independence from the Soviet Union on 26 December 1991. Formal diplomatic relations were established between the countries on 28 September 1992.

Georgia established an honorary consulate in New Delhi in 2005. It was upgraded to an embassy afterwards.

Economic relations

Bilateral trade between Georgia and India grew from US$2.56 million in 2000 to US$24.56 million in 2010.
